Winchester Hospital Receives $9K In Donations

The Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation has received a total of $9,000 recently from two different organizations.

On February 20th, the Greely & District Legion donated $4,000 to the hospital. Funds were raised through the annual poppy campaign. The legion has now donated more than $36,000 since 2002 to WDMH.

Another $5,000 was presented by Scotiabank to the hospital. That money represented Scotiabank’s matching gift program for the Christmas Wish Tree Campaign donations dropped off at local banks in that area.

It was just a small portion of the overall funds raised through the Christmas Wish Tree Campaign. The money will be used towards WDMH’s highest priority needs.
