MPP Steve Clark is weighing in on the provincial government’s announcement of an additional 17 percent cut to the hydro rate earlier today.
Clark says this is not a solution to the problem.
Clark says this is taking costs from ratepayers and putting it on the backs of taxpayers now, and in the future.
The Ministry of Energy told the PC Caucus that the estimated cost to taxpayers will be $25 billion over 30 years.
