Despite efforts from Leeds-Grenville MPP Steve Clark, non-profits in the county are still being crippled by costs to have their drinking water tested.
Clark has put forward a motion three times since April 2014 to find ways to reduce costs to organizations who are required to have their water tested.
Clark was shocked to hear in a recent Legislative Assembly that after questioning the provincial government on the issue, they have still done nothing to help.
Clark says coupled with high hydro rates, local churches and legions are struggling to stay open.
Both the Leeds, Grenville, and Lanark District Health Unit and all Royal Canadian Legions in the county are in support of the motion.
