A total of $205,000 in funding is coming to six events in Leeds and Grenville thanks to the Celebrate Ontario program.
Prescott’s Loyalist Days, which runs August 17th to 20th, will receive $10,839Â of that funding.
The rest will be distributed between events in Brockville, Kemptville, and Gananoque.
Gananoque’s Nickel Cup, running from June 3rd to 4th, will be handed $3,450.
Kemptville’s Ribfest from June 16th to 18th will be helped by $6,650. The biggest amount of funding will go to the Kemptville Live Music Festival, with $100,000 being given to the event. The four day concert runs from July 20th to 23rd.
Brockville’s 1000 Islands Regatta will be the recipient of $34,213, that runs June 30th to July 3rd. And Brockville’s Rails To Trails Festival, August 10th to 13th, will get $50,000.
Leeds Grenville MPP Steve Clark congratulated each municipality, and said the funding is important for each event as they are vital pieces of their town’s tourism economy.
