It will be a clean sweep through Prescott’s streets this year.
Council members voted unanimously in favour of spending $134,000 on a new street sweeper at a special council meeting on Monday.
The used 2007 model being brought in from Atlanta, Georgia will save the town money with only $190,000 being budgeted for the purchase. A brand new vehicle could’ve cost upwards of $400,000.
The town will continue to operate the older model along with the new machine until in eventually breaks down.
