The Ontario Early Years Centre program will be renamed to the Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centres. The change is coming from the Ministry of Education which wants to consolidate four similar programs across the province into one.
That isn’t expected to make much difference in Leeds and Grenville since only the one program is available across the county, but staff is revisiting the programming that is currently offered.
Manager of Integrated Program Delivery Kim Little says staff is looking at how to tweak programming by asking residents to fill out a survey. Little is looking to cater new programming specifically to the county’s needs.
