A 70-year-old man from Amherstview, just outside of Kingston, has been arrested on multiple assault charges.
Kingston Police began an investigation on March 2nd into allegations of a long history of domestic abuse.
Police found that the man’s wife and children have been suffering from the abuse for up to 40 years. Police cited incidents such as knives being held against their throats and chests during arguments.
As a result the man is facing three counts of assault, three counts of assault with a weapon, and three counts of uttering death threats.
