Police catch man for possession and obstruction charges after he gives them a fake last name

A man has been nabbed by police over drug and obstruction charges on the 401.

The OPP says officers stopped a man early Friday morning on Highway 401 in Front of Yonge Township.

The man tried giving officers a false name but they investigated the situation and also found cocaine.

The 32-year-old man from Montreal will face charges of obstructing a peace officer, failing to comply with recognizance and possession. He appeared for a bail hearing on Friday in Brockville court.

Police say they continue to investigate.
