The OPP says to watch out for a scam involving buying furniture.
The OPP says there’s a possible scam it’s investigating revolving around furniture that was made from reclaimed wood.
OPP Community Mobilization/Media Relations Constable Suzanne Runciman says the OPP wants you to be careful and watch out for scams.
If you’re having furniture made, ask for references from previous clients. The OPP also says you should meet in-person, to look at the finished product before you pay. Choose a public space, bring someone with you and be wary of those asking for cash up-front.
