It may be a few weeks before boaters are out on the water but it’s time to start thinking safety first.
Before you slip your boat into the river later this spring, Brett Ramsey from Pirate Cove Marina in North Grenville says you should always remember to make sure you have all necessities such as safety equipment.
In addition to staying safe, if police catch you without the necessary equipment, you could be fined.
Ramsey also says you should make sure your boat and engine are ready for the season by looking at the oil and fluids, and making sure the engine is running properly before you put your boat in the water.
