More than $16,500 was raised for Girls Inc. of Upper Canada during the Eighth Annual TD Canada Trust Women’s Hockey Tournament.
Officials say the event was a huge success with more than 200 women participating on the ice.
Proceeds will be used to provide programs and workshops for girls aged six to 18 in Leeds and Grenville. Last year 1,300 girls felt the effects of the fundraising through the annual tournament.
