Brockville Police is asking boaters to avoid making wakes.
Brockville Police Chief Scott Fraser issued the reminder, saying some properties along the shoreline are flooded or close to being flooded. Fraser says boat wakes can make a difference and cause damage along the shoreline.
There’s also an advisory for commercial shipping still in effect. Ships are travelling more slowly to ensure their wake is manageable.
Brockville Police is also asking boaters to be safe while out on the water this long weekend.
