Benson Public School wants you to join them for a walk down memory lane.
To mark Benson’s 68 years of teaching children the school has organized a celebration of generations on Friday and Saturday. From 7:00pm to 11:00pm on the 16th Royal Canadian Legion Branch 105 in Cardinal will host a meet and greet. Then starting at 11:00am on the 17th Benson Public School is having an open house with tours of the building. At 1:00pm on Saturday there will be a ceremony, during which the school’s time capsule will be opened.
Organizers say there will be souvenirs available on Saturday, including pencil sketch prints of the school drawn by local artist Rose Poirier. Snacks will be supplied but Fat Les’s Chip Truck will also be on site for anyone wishing to purchase food.
