The celebrations for Canada’s 150th birthday are planned and ready to go in Cardinal.
The festivities start with the Kick Off Dance on Friday. Hillbilly Highway will be performing at the dance and there is no cover charge to get in. Then on Saturday the Cardinal Festival Committee have a number of activities planned including; kids races, tribeck inflatables, face-painting, Feathered Haven Parrot Rescue, euchre, horseshoes and volleyball.
There will also be a fireworks display starting around dusk on Saturday. Organizers say they expect this year’s display to be spectacular, in part due to donations from Heritage Canada and KE Bush Construction. All events will be taking place at Cardinal’s Legion Park.
