The Brockville District Hospital Foundation is already putting some of the money raised this year to good use.
Brockville General Hospital has announced they have four new state-of-the-art Ultrasound, or Sono, beds for their Diagnostic Imaging Department. The beds were purchased by the hospital foundation and the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging Nathan Tompkins says they are prioritizing safety by taking a real look at improving their equipment.
For the staff there are features that allow easier access to the patient with move-able cut-outs, electronic height adjustment and more effortless bed mobility. Tompkins adds that the news beds provide patients more comfortable and safer examinations because they have hand rails and other features not included on the older model.
