The Prescott Fire Department is looking for volunteers.
According to the department’s website as 2018 gets underway they are recruiting volunteers to join their professional team. Applications can be found on their website and can be dropped off in person at the Fire Hall or by email.
Some volunteer duties include fire protection and prevention, as well as the annual Santa Claus Parade. The department says they have 25 members trained in accident scene management and heavy hydraulic rescue, also known as the Jaws of Life. All volunteers also receive training in ice and water rescue techniques.
