Residents in the area are being reminded of the services available to them if they are pregnant.
The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit says it offers a number of services and information for future parents. Public Health Nurse Brittany Mott says one of the things you can do is take a prenatal class.
In-person classes are available in Kemptville, Smiths Falls, Perth and Brockville.
The health unit also has information about preconception health, transition to parenting and information for fathers and partners, according to Mott
If you’d like to register, Mott says you can call the Health Action Line at 1-800-660-5853. You can also learn more by going to healthunit.org/pregnancy/.
