The Canadian Coast Guard is recruiting for Prescott.
The Coast Guard says it will be hiring a Marine Communications and Traffic Services Officer, which they describe as the eyes and ears of the waterways. The duties of a MCTS Officer include monitoring marine frequencies and responding to distress calls. According to the Coast Guard MCTS Officers protect the environment and the safety of shipping by screening vessels as they enter Canadian waters and regulating marine traffic movements.
Anyone interested is invited to take a MCTS aptitude test at the Comfort Inn in Brockville on April 11th at 6:00pm. The test is expected to take three hours and spaces are limited so you must register in advance.
You can register by emailing [email protected] or calling 1-833-562-4224.
