Police Identify Victim In Fatal Crash On Highway 401

Police have released the name of the truck driver who was killed earlier this week in a fatal collision on Highway 401.

On Wednesday, shortly after 3 p.m., the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision on the westbound side of the highway between Upper Canada Road and Church Road, in South Dundas.

Police say a westbound truck hit another truck from behind.

The OPP are now identifying the driver of the first truck, 46 year old Dilpreet Singh Rai of Brampton, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second driver did not suffer any injuries.
