Jamie Harrison, owner of Old Stone Hall, speaks about winning township award

“It’s hard to put that into just a couple of words.”

That’s Jamie Harrison, the owner of Augusta-based antique and decoration retailer Old Stone Hall, on winning her Township’s New Business of the Year Award. Her business, which operates out of the Augusta Old Town Hall and sells its merchandise online via social media, received the award on November 5th at a community event held by the Township.

In an exclusive interview with MyPrescottNow.com, Harrison says that winning the award has been a validating experience. “I also work full time in mental health,” says Harrison, “so I’m super lucky that I both love what I do full-time, and I have a side passion that I love as well.”

“So, I’m really blessed in that,” Harrison continues, “but it’s really nice to be recognized for the work that the hall is doing, because especially operating through social media, it can be really challenging to feel like I’m actually doing anything productive. So, receiving the award and the recognition from the township is really validating for the hard work that I’ve put in.”

Harrison went on to thank the owners of Shannon’s Pumpkins, an autumn business selling organic pumpkins, for nominating the Old Stone Hall for the award, and the Township for choosing her business.
