It’s a week celebrating the things that make Prescott great. The week of October 16th-22nd has been declared Public Library Week and Local Government Week here in Prescott. Mayor Brett Todd made the announcement at Committee of the Whole on Monday night.
The town is wanting all their residents to get involved this week as well. You can take a tour of town hall, pick up some swag, and sit in a councillor’s chair tomorrow between noon and 3pm. While you’re at town hall, the library wants you to stop in and celebrate Public Library Week as well. The library offers many things such as museum passes, practice G1 tests, and sign language classes. The library says it’s membership is up by over 200 members and has fund-raised $4,370 for it’s own benefit this year.
