There is light at the end of the tunnel, that is for the Brockville Railway Tunnel.
Brockville City Council recently approved extra funding for the tunnel committee to add an elaborate light show to the restoration already underway on the historic tunnel.
The railway tunnel turned tourist attraction was being restored as an extention of the Brockville Trail, but now an extra $1.5 million dollars is being put into the project to make the light show itself a tourist event inside the tunnel.
The renovation budget is now set at almost $4 million dollars, with the tunnel committee hoping to bring the tunnel to life for the Canada 150 celebrations.
