The flu virus has officially hit the Leeds, Grenville, and Lanark counties according to the Health Unit.
It’s only one confirmed case at this time, but the Health Unit says there have been others in the surrounding areas.
With seniors, young children, and people with chronic health problems most at risk, the Health Unit recommends everyone receive a flu shot to protect others just as much as themselves.
No community flu clinics are being provided this year, but shots can be received at local pharmacies or health care providers.
