A Brockville police officer is facing charges of possession of prescription drugs for the purposes of trafficking.
The unidentified officer was arrested and charged on Tuesday by Ottawa Police, who were asked to conduct the investigation.
The Brockville officer has now been suspended from duties with pay as per the Police Services Act, and is scheduled to appear in court on February 8th in Ottawa.
