The Conservative Party association representing Leeds-Grenville, Thousand Islands, and Rideau Lakes has sent out a reminder that the member registration deadline is approaching.
Those wishing to join the Conservative Party and participate in the upcoming leadership election must register by March 28th.
Party representative for the area, Michael Barrett, says the deadline is to allow mail-in ballots to be distributed to all members by the end of April. The ballots must be sent back by May 26th to be counted in the election.
The Conservative Party is currently seeking a leader for the 2019 federal election. Rona Ambrose is presiding as interim leader.
