An OPP officer has been hurt during a traffic stop.
On Tuesday morning, police stopped a vehicle at the corner of Clothier Street and Pinehill Road in Kemptville. The driver left the scene while the officer was holding onto the door. The officer was then dragged several meters down the road before falling as the driver fled the scene.
Police found the car and chased the driver but he refused to stop. He finally turned himself into police at the detachment.
The 23-year-old North Grenville man faces multiple charges including dangerous driving, fleeing police and resisting arrest. He also faces a charge of possession of property obtained by crime. He’ll appear in court on March 1st.
The police officer suffered minor injuries during the incident.
