Tyler Curry, found guilty on charges of impaired and dangerous driving causing death, has been sentenced to five years in jail.
The conviction stems from a fiery and fatal car crash back on August 23rd, 2009 that killed 18-year-old Dylan Heisel of Spencerville.
A van carrying Curry, Heisel, and another friend was leaving a party when it veered off County Road 44 near Spencerville and into a tree. Curry, who was also 18-years-old at the time, was the driver of the car, while Heisel was in the front passenger seat.
Curry of South Grenville, was also sentenced on charges of impaired and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
Curry also has a five-year weapons prohibition following incarceration.
The sentencing came down yesterday in Brockville court.
