The train crossing light pole on Parkdale Avenue in Brockville has been taken out and Brockville Police are asking drivers to be patient until it gets fixed.
Early Friday, police noticed the light pole was laying across the railroad tracks as a result of being hit by a car. The pole was then hit again by an oncoming VIA train.
Police were able to locate the driver of the truck that hit the pole and charge him.
Police say that the VIA trains now need to slow down and proceed with caution at the crossing until the light can be replaced.
