Brockville Trail Receives Grant To Help Project Completion

The City of Brockville’s project to connect their off-road walking and cycling trails just received a major boost.

The Public Transit Infrastructure Fund has granted $175,000 to the city which will extend the Brockville Trail from MacJohnson Wildlife Area down to Laurier Boulevard.

The funding will also help connect the trail along Parkdale Ave to the trail-head beside Westminster Public School.

Once completed, Brockville will have trails stretching from the north-end at MacJohnson down to the city’s south, along its waterway.

The grant comes from the $3.4-billion fund, which helps support active transportation projects in communities.
