Residents here in Prescott might be able to break out the shorts earlier than expected this year.
Environment Canada has released it’s monthly temperature model for March, April, and May which shows a 50% probability of above seasonal temperatures for the region.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says the trend of record-breaking temperatures that were seen in February were the first taste of what the rest of this spring has to offer.
Coulsen does note that although above seasonal temperatures will appear, this spring will also be balanced out with its share of cooler days.
Today’s forecasted high is 12 degrees, but tomorrow temperatures will fall back down to minus three, with a wind chill of minus 10, and flurries.
