The Ontario Government announced a hydro rate cut of 17 percent earlier today. That’s on top of the eight percent HST rebate that began January 1st.
Coast FM took to the streets to see what Prescott residents had to say about the announcement.
Wynne says they’ll increase the amortization on the mortgage for the electricity system to find the savings.
The cuts will come off hydro bills this summer and costs will be partially redirected to taxpayers.
