The Royal Canadian Legion Kemptville Branch 212 will be 85 years old on April 17th and the municipality is taking the moment to honour the organization.
Before tonight’s North Grenville Council meeting, the mayor will mark the milestone with a proclamation that will be presented to local Legion President Sharon Murray. That will happen around 6:00pm.
Mayor David Gordon says it’s very important to give the legion the recognition it deserves.
The ceremony will end with members of council being piped-into their meeting. The public is welcome to attend the event.
