A man is facing charges after being caught using a damaged tractor trailer on Highway 401.
The OPP stopped the tractor trailer in Front of Yonge Township on Tuesday night after spotting the damage on the trailer. Officers investigated and found that the driver hit a loading dock in Montreal which caused the damage. Because of the damage, the driver used a strap to hold some of the cross members up.
The 23-year-old man is now facing a charge of driving a commercial vehicle with a major defect. Police say you should be careful and make sure your vehicle is safe to drive before getting onto any roads. Police also say you should call 911 if you spot a dangerous situation.
