A single vehicle crash in Augusta Township has resulted in impaired driving charges from the OPP.
The Grenville County OPP says that last night at approximately 8:00pm they responded to a single car collision on Charleville Road. Reports say the vehicle left the road and then struck the ditch. According to police they determined that the 29-year-old male driver was under the influence of alcohol and charged him with driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in his blood stream.
Police say that following the incident the accused’s driver’s license has been suspended 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for a week. The accused was later released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville at a later date.
